season of motherhood

‘Welcome to Artifact Motherhood. This is a collaboration of artists from around the world who have come together to share our stories of the joys and struggles of our journey. Through our writings and visual records we want to create memories that are more than photographs with dates written on the back. These are the artefacts we are leaving behind for our children and for generations to come.’

When I can make her laugh, when I can see that genuine smile shine through her eyes… I know I’m doing something right. And laughter, through this “season of motherhood”, is so very important. I think i can safely say that all mothers, across the globe, are feeling this “season” deeply. These are challenging times. We draw on our instinct and intuition even more. We are juggling our own fears and emotions with the uncertainty and change that our children are experiencing.

Don’t forget to laugh, and often… it truly is the best medicine.
